QR ordering for pubs: what actually changes on a Friday night

A busy pub loses most of its capacity at the rail. Two bartenders can only serve so many people, and the guests sitting down are the ones who wait longest.

When seated guests can order a round from the table, the rail clears for the people who want to stand there. Bartenders pour instead of taking orders. The second round gets ordered because nobody has to decide whether it is worth the walk.

Tabs are the other half. A tab that opens on a phone closes on a phone. Nobody leaves a card behind, and nobody walks out on a check by accident.

Set expectations with your staff first. QR ordering does not remove servers from the floor. It removes the walking that does not involve food.
